The product
Pawse.ai is an acoustic regulation system. It generates procedural sound environments calibrated to canine hearing and stress physiology, not human listening preference.
The system adapts to your dog's breed, age, and feedback history. Every session trains the engine toward what your dog actually needs.
Environments
Each mode should feel like a distinct product environment, not a line item in a feature list. The visual language below gives each one its own identity.
Ultra slow modulation and reduced mid frequencies. Supports deep rest onset and longer sleep duration.
Narrow low frequencies with stable amplitude movement. Reduces separation related arousal during absence.
Broad masking with adaptive volume floor. Designed for fireworks, thunder, and sudden outdoor transients.
Rhythmic stability and calmer pulse structure. Built for motion related stress during car and crate travel.
Low harmonic density with softer transitions and longer arcs. A calmer environment for medical stress and post-procedure recovery.
How it works
The complexity belongs inside the engine. The interface should stay calm, restrained, and clear.
Breed, age, known sensitivities, and your home playback setup define the starting point for testing.
Choose from five acoustic environments and test the one that matches the real moment: sleep, noise, travel, vet visit, or time alone.
After each session, record how your dog responded. The engine improves and the sound gets better tuned to your dog with every rating.
In development The Pawse.ai Tag will report this step for you, from your dog's collar, so the loop keeps learning even when you are not watching.
The infrastructure
Your iPhone or iPad controls the session. A paired Apple TV plays it. No local network required. The instruction routes through the cloud and the audio runs independently on the television.
Start a session from anywhere, at home, out on a walk, or on cellular across town. Your phone sends the instruction once. The Apple TV receives it and plays independently from that point forward.
The session has its own timer. When it ends, the Apple TV stops and your phone receives a notification. Your dog's environment runs without you needing to be present or connected.
Pairing is code-based and takes under a minute. The Apple TV is the only device that pairs, because it is the only one that plays without you. You choose at the start of each session whether the sound comes from the device in your hand or from the television. You can also stream to any AirPlay speaker, and in that case the phone stays active throughout.
The science
Dogs hear differently. Breed anatomy, age related sensitivity changes, and noise predisposition vary across populations. Pawse.ai accounts for this at the parameter level.
Gain modulation is calibrated by noise anxiety predisposition data from studies across thousands of dogs. Modulation speed is age adjusted. The learning loop refines each future session.

The reason behind Pawse.ai
Henry was our rescued English Bulldog from Cape Town. He was funny, stubborn, deeply loved, and completely himself. Watching how unfamiliar sounds and changing surroundings affected him changed the way we understood what dogs experience.
We could not find a product that began with a dog's hearing, recognised individual sensitivities, and learned from the way that dog responded. That absence became Pawse.ai.

You have just seen the loop. You rate each session, and the engine adapts to your dog. Today, that feedback is yours to give. The Tag is how it starts coming from your dog directly. A featherweight acoustic sensor on the collar that measures the sound environment from exactly where your dog stands, so the same loop keeps learning even when you are not in the room.

A speaker in the corner only hears the corner. Your dog's ears are somewhere else entirely, and moving. The Tag rides on the collar, so every reading reflects the sound environment your dog actually lives in. No Apple TV, no iPad, no smart speaker required. It pairs straight to your iPhone over Bluetooth.
During a session, the Tag is the acoustic sensor. It measures sound level and character at your dog's position, so what Pawse.ai works with reflects what the animal actually experiences, not what a device in the corner happens to pick up.
When your phone is nearby, the Tag can send structured sound events over Bluetooth. When it is not, the Tag keeps those events locally until it can sync. Over time you see which sounds show up in your home and which ones line up with a stress response.
Over time, the Tag helps you see whether the calmer moments you are hoping for actually show up, so you can tell what is working for your dog and adjust from there.
